A green, cool day out from Marmaris to the head of the Gokova Gulf. In Akyaka you take a boat along the Azmak, a crystal-clear spring-fed river lined with trees, where you can often see fish and turtles in the water beneath the boat.
Next comes Yuvarlakcay, a shady stream near Koycegiz with restaurants built right over the water, where lunch is served. It is a lovely break from the heat and suits families and anyone who likes nature more than nightlife.
